The Kilalu Story

Kilalu Luxury homes was started by John and Bonnie O’Rourke in 2004.  Building luxury homes is a passion for John who has over twenty five years in the engineering and construction business.  Originally from Ireland, John brings an intuitive, apprenticed craftsman perspective to Kilalu Homes which is evident in the quality and design demonstrated in the finished product. 

Bonnie is a licensed Realtor in North Carolina who works with buyers and sellers in the Lake Norman and Cabarrus County markets.

Marta Carlson is the On-site Superintendent of Construction for Kilalu Homes.

Kilalu, is named after the Irish town of Killaloe (Irish: Cill Dalua meaning Dalua's church) which is situated in the midwest of Ireland. The village is on the south end of Lough Derg, while the settlement spreads across the River Shannon.
